Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Us or via an approved third party to attend one of Our events. Headings are for ease of reference only.

Availability Policy

The experience We offer is limited, and We cannot guarantee availability. We reserve the right to refuse sale.

Booking Policy

Bookings are only to be made directly with us or approved third-party websites and partners. Please ensure that You are using legitimate channels and be sure that You are in contact with Us and not fraudulent sites. We are not responsible for any losses You may incur through booking mistakes. However, We will try to help You if We can.

Prices

The price of the events are shown on website/email/social media and include all taxes. Prices may vary.

For private event and corporate bookings, the price of Your booking is as set out in the invoice sent to You and may increase if You request additional guests or extras. We ask that You pay by BACS or We will need to pass on the relevant card charges to You.

We do not permit the resale of tickets. However, We do allow guests to gift their ticket to a friend or alternative guest, if they are unable to attend. Please contact us to let Us know if the dietary requirements are different from those attending the original booking. However, we cannot guarantee that We will be able to cater for the dietary requirements of the new guest(s).

Cancellations and Amendments

By Us:

We reserve the right to cancel your booking for any reason; this includes, amongst others, dangerous weather, safety issues and unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel, we aim to give customers as much notice as possible.  Please note we do not offer refunds or any other form of compensation if we cancel; however, we do offer guests the opportunity to rebook a future event at the same price in the next 12 months.

By You: Feasts

Your booking is non-refundable. However, You may transfer your booking to another guest.

Private Event or Corporate Experience:

A non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to secure the booking. The remaining 50% will be paid 4 weeks before the event.  If you cancel within 1 month prior to the event, the deposit is non-refundable.

However, if your event date is to occur within a month or less from your booking date, the total invoiced sum will be fully payable to secure your booking.

If you have not already paid in full at the time of booking, a further payment for the tickets per number of guests notified to us at the time of booking (or any additional guests that we have agreed to accommodate) and any optional extras will be required no later than one month prior to your visit.

If you wish to reduce the number of guests attending, you may still be required to pay for the full number of tickets notified to us at the time of booking unless We agree otherwise, as we will have made commitments based on this number.

If you wish to reschedule your booking to a later date, you may do so provided you give us one month’s notice prior to Your original event date and your rescheduled event takes place within 4 months of your original event date.

If you give us less than one month’s notice to cancel or reschedule, We will need to retain the total sums due as set out on your invoice (and any of these sums that have not already been paid will be payable, together with any statutory interest that will have accrued thereon from their due date).

We require 5 working days’ notice if you need to increase the number of guests attending and we will accommodate you if we can. We are not able to refund tickets for reductions in the number of guests or guests who don’t attend the event.

Please be aware that, in some circumstances, the stated Guest Chef may not be able to attend due to circumstances outside of Our control. In such instances, We shall use reasonable endeavours to find an alternative chef.

Foraging Terms

By taking place in one of Our foraging tours, You agree to the following terms:

  • Foraging takes place in the open countryside and by its very nature is not free from hazard. You take part in the tour at Your own risk and it is Your own choice whether you choose to sample any foraged items. All items discussed are either previously recorded as edible or have been eaten by the course leader without any known side effects. Consumption of foraged items can, however, cause an allergic reaction in certain individuals. For example, people should avoid sorrel if they have known allergies to any member of the Polygonaceae family.
  • You must not sample any of the foraged foods in the tour if You are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any known allergies.
  • You must remain with the foraging instructor(s) at all times and follow her/his instructions. You must not return to the area after the tour to forage without his / her supervision.
  • If You are not deemed to be behaving appropriately during the tour, You may be asked to leave and Your ticket will not be refunded.
  • You must be able to correctly identify what You are picking, otherwise You should not eat it. You must not eat any foraged item without prior clear and certain permission from Your foraging instructor. SOME WILD PLANTS AND MUSHROOMS IN THE UK ARE POISONOUS.
  • We are not responsible for any situations or incidents caused by any participant attempting to apply knowledge learned from the course.
  • Although We have taken steps to ensure that Our guided foraged tour is taught by highly experienced & capable leaders, We and Our guides exclude any and all liability whatsoever and howsoever arising in relation to the event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Dietary Requirements and Allergies

For most of our events we cater for most dietary requirements including dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarians & vegans but we ask that you inform us at the time of booking so that we can accommodate you. If you have a specific allergy or if your allergy is particularly severe we would always ask that you bring with you any inhalers/epi-pens or emergency equipment that you may require as although we will avoid particular allergens during preparation we cannot always guarantee cross-contamination where food is prepared in a kitchen which may contain said allergens.

Due to the nature of location we cannot cater for nut allergies.

During each event, we provide a guided tour in which a variety of foraged food is made available. It is within your own choice as to whether or not you wish to eat the food presented to you and you take liability for your own well being.

All foods discussed are either previously recorded as edible or have been eaten by the course leader. Consumption of wild foods can, however, cause an allergic reaction in certain individuals; we advise trying only small amounts of new wild foods on first consumption and there’s always the possibility of freak reaction which has no grounding or basis on the persons common bodily reactions to food. For example, people should avoid sorrel if they have known allergies any member of the Polygonaceae family. We and our associated practitioners take no liability on these occasions.

Although our guided foraged tour is taught by highly experienced & capable leaders, it is not intended that any instruction provided to you while on a tour will in any way qualify you to instruct any third party & no warranty is made to that effect. We hereby exclude any liability we may have to any third party in respect of any loss or damage suffered or incurred by that third party in its reliance on any skills taught by you on the basis of having attended any of our events.

Due to Our woodland location, the meal is not suitable for guests with severe airborne allergies.

Liability and responsibility

We take guests health, wellbeing and safety very seriously. We provide lighting and guided paths, alongside a medically trained first aid professional that has access to a first aid medical kit and fire extinguisher. We ask that guests bring their own medical needs, such as EpiPen’s, crutches, inhalers etc. if they so require them.

We have firepits on site and advise You stand a safe distance from these. Further, the terrain is not flat and may have natural and unnatural holes, logs, bumps and other potentially hazardous environments and structures. Guests should take care and responsibility for their health and safety when on the premises.
We exclude any and all liability whatsoever and howsoever arising in relation to the event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Smoking

Guests are only permitted to smoke in designated areas. In some circumstances and in particularly dry weather We may ask Our guests to refrain from smoking altogether at Our discretion.

Drinking and Drugs

Alcohol is not permitted to be brought on site. We may provide bar services from time to time at Our discretion in accordance with Our licence. Guests are reminded to drink responsibly.

We have a “zero tolerance” drugs policy and We will remove guests who bring or use drugs or any other illegal substances on site without compensation for Your costs.

Customer behaviour and conduct

Our hosts, Chefs and other staff respect Our guests and wish for them to have a good time; We ask that guests return that respect. Offensive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

If You engage in such behaviour activities, We may expel You from the event and the Location without compensation for Your costs.

We also ask that guests dress appropriately for the event and are considerate with phone calls, and other noise.

Please note We operate within Our licensing hours and will ask all guests who are not staying overnight with us to vacate the premises by 10pm at the latest.

Children

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the event, We do not permit entry to those aged 14 or under unless We have given Our express consent.

Dogs

Provided they are well behaved then they are very welcome. They need to be kept on leads at all times. Please bring your own doggy bags. .

Parking

We have a limited amount of parking onsite. Nomadic. will not be held responsible for any damage to guests’ vehicles.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge You for any and all damage done to the Location by You. If you have paid a damage deposit, we will refund this to you less a reasonable deduction for any damage caused.

Lost or Damaged Items Neither We nor Our staff take responsibility for damaged or lost items whilst You are with us and advise You to take due care.

Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
